Front and zen-ter

Yoshikawa fountain

Recent changes to our outside area include a new stone fountain by Yoshikawa

Recent visitors to Watercourse Way may have noticed a few changes out front. Over the past few months we have been beautifying the area outside our building on Channing Avenue, as well as our adjacent parking lot.

The centerpiece is a gorgeous new stone fountain created by Yoshikawa, the Los Angeles-based artist who is also responsible for the water sculpture in our parking lot and the long-standing water wall in our lobby. Yoshikawa designed the curved fountain to wrap around a Japanese maple just to the left of the main door, and create a meditation pool of still water.

Along with the new fountain, upgrades to the outside area includes replacement of the weathered slate tiles with smooth granite tiles; landscaping including new plants and lighting; a new granite bench; and a new border around the water sculpture in the parking lot.

We deeply appreciate the patience of our clients as the sometimes-noisy work was being done. We hope you enjoy the new look outside and that it helps instill you with a sense of Zen and serenity before you even step through the front door.
