Watercourse Way was partially inspired by the natural hot springs found in Tassajara, a zen retreat in Carmel Valley. In fact, our private hot tub rooms are named for things you would find in nature – pine trees, river stones, dragonflies and more. The natural environment is invaluable to all of us, and few organizations help protect that environment like the Sierra Club.
Founded by renowned conservationist John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is “the nation’s largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization – with more than two million members and supporters,” the Club states on its website.
The Sierra Club offers a canopy of pro-environment programs, such as promoting the use of electric vehicles, environmental law, responsible trade and more. It also promotes ways to sustain a healthy living and enjoy the outdoors.
John Muir, whose name also graces the majestic Muir Woods north of San Francisco, once said: “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.” You can help support that ideal by helping support the Sierra Club.
