For nearly 25 years, the Palo Alto Weekly has helped local nonprofits with the annual Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund. Since its inception, the Fund “has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families,” the Weekly states on its website.
“When you donate, every dollar is matched, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.”
Past recipients of Holiday Fund donations include the East Palo Alto Kids Foundation, Friends of the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, Palo Alto Housing Corporation and Youth Community Service, among many other worthwhile organizations.
