Those who wander through our Retail Gallery often pause when passing by what is easily the cutest part of the lobby – our assortment of Douglas and Jellycat stuffed animals. Here at Watercourse Way we carry an array of adorable offerings from the two retailers. You can spot llamas and hedgehogs from Douglas, bunnies and puppies from Jellycat, and even a huggable octopus named Odell (also from Jellycat).
Douglas (“The Cuddle Toy”) has roots that date back to 1956, when it primarily produced toys for infants. The company is family owned and its design team is based in New Hampshire.
“Our continued business success comes from unique designs, high quality materials, and craftsmanship,” the company states on its website. “Our classic animals have gestures and expressions that clearly distinguish them as ‘Douglas.’ Their faces evoke a sense of connection and endearment. We are known for offering the unusual breeds and hard-to-find species.”
Jellycat was established in London in 1999 and has quickly grown into one of the more popular producers of soft toys.
“There is always something original and quirky yet incredibly soft and sumptuous to find at a Jellycat jamboree,” the company states. “Irresistibly cuddly, sophisticatedly silly, hilariously humorous, a perfect gift for all ages.”
Douglas and Jellycat stuffed animals are available at Watercourse Way in all shapes and sizes. Get your cute on.
