Did you spot any Jedis, Wookies, Ewoks or Stormtroopers wandering around town earlier this month? Such a site would not be surprising given that numerous fans paid homage to the Star Wars universe on May 4, otherwise known as “Star Wars Day” (May the Fourth be with you – get it?).
But an even more important holiday hits the calendar on May 14 as we recognize Mother’s Day, which is celebrated by more than 40 countries around the world. The first modern Mother’s Day was held in West Virginia’s St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in 1908. The nearly 150-year-old church has since been dubbed the International Mother’s Day Shrine and was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1992.
Here at Watercourse Way we have plenty of avenues to show mom some appreciation. You could treat her to a relaxing spa treatment such as the Champagne Chocolate, or a soothing signature massage. A gift card goes a long way, and our Retail Gallery is stocked with goodies moms love, such as unique necklaces and enlightening books. As May 14 gets closer, let us help you give mom a holiday to remember.
