What started in the humble basement of candle-maker Shannon Cumberland has become a company that continuously produces incredible candles and accessories. Rosy Rings was conceived in Cumberland’s basement more than 20 years ago when she created candles using “chunks of sticky beeswax, vials of fragrance and an assortment of dried flowers and fruit.”
But it wasn’t until Cumberland concocted the original Spicy Apple botanical candle that the Denver-based entrepreneur realized something special was brewing. Now Rosy Rings produces a wealth of scent-illating candles, from botanical candles like the Apricot & Rose or Pumpkin Farmhouse to soy candles such as Anjou Pear or Bay Garland.
“A scoop of lavender, a humble bowl of dried leaves or an illuminated botanical candle are all small reminders of the beauty the natural world offers us,” Cumberland writes on her website.
And Rosy Rings returns that all-natural favor by using natural products like beeswax and soy wax. Rosy Rings also uses 40% recycled glass for its glassware and 30% post-consumer recycled content for its tins, not to mention contributing a percentage of its profits to charity annually. A gorgeous Rosy Rings botanical reed diffuser is an intoxicating compliment to any candle.
After 20-plus years of practice, Rosy Rings has developed the perfect sense for, well, the perfect scents.
