Chocolate. The word itself is savory, with vowels and consonants that roll off the tongue. The delectable edible has tantalized for thousands of years. We put it in coffee, cookies, snacks and Christmas stockings. Watercourse Way even features chocolate in its popular Champagne Chocolate spa treatment, which features an Eminence chocolate truffle body wrap and chocolate mouse masque.
The health benefits are widely known – chocolate (in moderation, of course) can be good for the circulatory system, helps reduce cardiovascular problems and blood pressure, and may lower cholesterol and enhance cognitive functions.
Watercourse Way is proud to carry Dandelion Chocolate in our retail area. The San Francisco-based company produces delicious, artisan chocolate with beans from Venezuela, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea. Dandelion was started by Todd Masonis and Cameron Ring based on their “lifetime love of chocolate.” “By sourcing high quality beans and carefully crafting tiny batches, we try to bring out the individual flavors and nuances of each bean,” Masonis and Ring say. Dandelion puts personal care into each batch of chocolate it produces and packages every bar by hand.
Dandelion chocolates make great gifts or a natural (and tasty) treat for yourself. The word itself may be savory, though few would argue chocolate is more fun to eat than say. Enjoy!
